That's why we don't ride a Crosstourer, nor an Africa Twin.
We ride a VARADERO   ;D ;D ;D VCIF_ThumbUp

The seat is one of the main reasons I will not own a Crosstourer or an AT.

The AT seat is great, not sure what your issues are with it. It is as long, if not slightly longer than a Varadero seat. Plenty of room and comfortable for a pillion.

The seat on the Crosstourer is about 6-7cm shorter than that of the AT.

My wife loves the AT pillion position ergonomics and seat. I have a 58 litre givi outback as MrKiwi (David) has with a rubber back rest for the pillion and my wife is so happy with it she gets up to her old tricks sometimes and falls asleep which is why I have a 2013 Goldwing with a wrap around pillion seat for long road trips. We recently rode over to D'Urville Island from Havelock in NZ's South Island and rode over the island. The trip to and from was great but the views on the island were obstructed by regenerating low scrub and bush and she started getting sleepy so she slept awhile and she was fine on the gravel going home
