All the best from south Wales
« on: February 13, 2021, 01:30:50 »
I bought motorcycles . Honda varadero XL1000, 2007,2009year. Mileage 54k and 19k
Varadero
The 2007 I had 3 years ago with a immo problem I fixed and still needs work to finish

And I picked up this 2009 FI MODEL last weekend.
I did not know that it was a different set up to the 2007 model.

This 09 had not been on the road from 2016.

And not run from then
and 19.600 miles on it.

So I’m going to do my best to get it back on the road again.

I’m not bad on the tools ⚒️ but never been involved
With modern bikes lol.

I have got a old fj 1200 and a 4xv r1.

So I’m going to try for some information and save the 09
Thanks

Hello & welcome in the family. Sure you find all answer here, because the better knowledge on this bike. Yes, Honda makes small improvement each year, and Varadero have small changes until the last year model (2011)
Alone we go faster, together we go further

I do not ride fast, I ride far / I'm not lost, I'm just exploring

thread resurrection I know, but I'm also in south wales with a 09 Vara (currently in bit changing the swing arm and shock linkage bearings and disks and pads.

let me know if there is any help you require, I've had mine stripped down many times for service and maintenance.
I know my way round the tools well.

bases in Port Talbot.

Thank you
I’ve had to stop working  at the
Moment because I’ve had to a big back op done in Cardiff.

I’m from Merther.
I have got a 07 abs model and a 09
Both had been stood up for years.
The 07 had a IMO problem and people give up on it
But I’ve got it working.

The 09 abs model had a injection problem
And I’ve got it working now.

Just needs a good tidy up and put back on the road.
