Krauser K2
« on: July 10, 2014, 13:55:40 »
Has anyone ever used the Krauser K2 system on any bikes. I'm looking for a system for my Vara 1000 and this looks a decent set up and discreet without the boxes attached. I'm not sure about how strong the connection between box and rack is, but guessing a German system should be ok.
How would you rate the system?

I had Krauser K2... large ones but top box was connected sort of loose, maybe my pillion was too much leaning on it :)

When I fell down they all went off but I still could use them...

Don't need the top box, I have one I bought a few years ago and never used so just the panniers and racks. I think because they are old, and maybe out of fashion the second hand ones are at a reasonable price. The German build quality should be a plus. I think because it's only one bar it should look quite good when the panniers are not fitted and fitting the rack arm part should be fairly simple I think. Just wondered if anyone had used them before.

A friend of mine has a top box at his triumph tiger 1050 and he is really satisfied.
