Bar risers on CrossTourer?
« on: October 26, 2015, 14:16:43 »
Hello friends.

I have bar risers on my Vara, and they proved to be the tool to remove my back pain in long rides. I know they are used by many other Vara riders as well.

However, I haven't been able to find anyone that had fitted them on a Crosstourer.

I'd appreciate to read any information about risers on CT or comparative between handlebars&riding position on Vara and CT or anything related to the subject.

Thank you!

Josep

I haven't seen any either, but I found I didn't need them.  I rotated my bars up just a little and it was fine for me.

As a matter of fact, I am more and more persuaded to buy a CT later this winter. And I was wondering if I should transfer the rises from vara to ct.

Regards, and thanks Jyrki,

Josep

Hello friends,

now I've tried the CT, I definitely want to place the handlebar a few cm closer to me.

Jyrki, your option seems to be the cheapest one. Could you please tell me, exactly, what "spacer" and longer bolts are these?

Thanks a lot,

Josep

I dont remember the brand, it is 35 mm spacer, came along with the bolts. It is u to the limit but I used them for 10k without a problem. You might think about the spacer that also takes them backwards if distance is your major issue.
