Traveling to VCIM 15: meetup along the way?
« on: May 01, 2013, 11:59:53 »
Hi guys

I'm leaving home next friday for my UK & Ireland tour previous to our annual meeting VCIM. Will meet up with Karinda and friends the day before the meeting to have our own little 'Pre-VCIM' in a nice cosy B&B near Cardigan. Looking forward to it.

How are you guys travelling to this years event? Post your route here; perhaps nice to meet up with other Varadero & Crosstourer friends along the route!

Here's the planned tour to VIM15.

The weekend before VIM15 we will be attending the French meeting in Aveyron (region near Viaduc de Millau).

Comming back from France on the Tuesday, I'll be leaving for VIM15 on Thursday 16th. The shuttle is booked at 9.50 after 200 kms from Brussels.
I'll be meeting Sébastien (Biker76) in Calais and after crossing the Chunnel, another 267 kms will bring us to Andover where we will overnight.

The next morning, I planned 395 kms of nice roads to Bluestone Village.

On the way, we'll spend some time on the following spots :
- Beachy Head and Birling Gap, between Eastbourne and Newhaven
- Arundel Castle
- Stonehenge
- Sherborne Castle
- The Fleet Air Arm Museum close to Yeovil
- Glastonbury Tor

See you there !

Anyone planning to travel to the Vim and coming past Cardiff/Bridgend on the thursday night/friday am let me know and we can arrange to meet and ride together.

It is approx 65 miles from Bridgend/Bluestone,

if we have time I can arrange with others to do an "alternative" local route and show you some of the wonderful riding that South Wales has to offer.
