Another consideration against tubeless for a bike designed to go off road as much as on road is this...
What if you were to get a side wall puncture? Doesn't happen on normal roads and made up tracks, but can happen when riding on heavy going terrain with rocks around. Would you rather be on tubeless or tubed tyres? I know which one I'd rather be on, because one of those options will not be a simple roadside 'get you home' fix.
Honda were correct to run with tubed tyres for the CRF1000L. For those that disagree, buy some wheels that are tubeless, or convert the wheels to tubeless then stay on smooth roads and stick close to civilisation.
