Injured Knee

well.... Last sunday I had the most stupid accident ever...

I was low on sugar and a bit uncoordinated as a result and hit my toes so incredibly hard that because of the pain that caused and my low sugar level, I fainted... And beleive me, it is a long way down when you are 2.12(7ft) tall. Somehow I managed to avoid landing on top of my 3,5 year old daugther, on the table or on other furniture, but I sprained my knee  in such a bad way that on monday, it was double the size!

I have been lying in bed ever since on doctor's advice, but there is a small risk this will hinder my attendance of VCIM. Don't know what Martin will do, I will discuss the options with him tomorrow.

Keep your leg elevated with the foot higher than your heart which should really help with the swelling, also 4x2 paracetamol 500mg will do the trick as i doubt you have serious problem.....i wish you a speedy recovery.

I have been taking diclo since monday en My knee is elevated above my heart when I am lying in my bed. Icepacks: 4 times a day!

My knee is looking better, but the problem was and is that my right knee was already heavily damaged as a result of playing volleyball and squash. Monday they will be able to give me a diagnosis but since it still hurts like hell and I cannot walk without support offers not much hope... I hope I am wrong.

Good news! My knee was not damaged, a rupture of one of the muscles in my upper (inner) leg is all that remains. Still a bit painful, but that will heal.

No problem for biking so next week we arE on our way to VCIM17.
