Went out riding again over the weekend. Some shots of various places. On Saturday I rode with a friend who had just bought a new 701 Husqvarna. He wanted to find some gravel roads so I introduced him to one of my local favourites. We stopped at a friend's farm on the warm for a cup of tea.

On Sunday I did a short ride to a look out just north of Wellington looking up the west coast.

The lookout

Ride to the gravel road and friend's farmhouse.

Is he happy with 701? Have they fixed the problems on 690?

He likes the 701. He's hoping the problems of the 690 are gone, the 701 model has a revised (new) engine in it compared to the 690.  Time will tell if this is the case...

I took the At out for another day excursion yesterday (Sunday). It was a crisp autumn (fall) day, fine with temperatures from 8-13 degrees.

Headed over the local range into the Wairarapa and then into the eastern Wairarapa hills where one finds good twisty tarmac roads and lots of gravel routes to play around on.

I left early for a Sunday morning. First bit is easy.

The heading up into the hills for fun

Then one of my favorite gravel rides

On yesterday's ride I left the pressure as for tarmac. Made for some slippery riding but I had a lot of tarmac riding to do once off the end of the gravel and with no pump I prefer the firmer tire on tarmac and can manage the hard tire on gravel.

Enjoyed your picture in the other thread, looked cold.

Still a stunning bike. You really got the best colour schema, although I like the 'candy red' which is available right now ;) But nothing beats the 'golden rims'!
