Sorry, only ever seen the Pyramid brand.
If you want to simply "protect" the rear shock then something DIY or a commercial "sock/tube/sleeve" can easily be found

Well said Jasper... the rubber sleeve is the obvious choice for anyone not wanting to spend much money. When i was riding for a living i used these and found them more than adequate. Can be bought from Ebay between £6 [€8] to £19 [€24]

If you've found a hugger for 80 quid buy it NOW! Thats a good price. Mine was more than that in 2007.

To protect the the rear shock I installed a Japanese spatula at the regulator between the rear shock and the rear wheel.

Costs ~ 1 EURO

Better, mmh.
Sure it´s more expensive, but is it therefore better?

The Japanese spatula is minimum requirement and does its purpose.

It is to decide for themselves.

Easy to find.

Just go in a local "Do-It-Yourself-Store" / "DIY-Superstore" such as the German companies HORNBACH or BAUHAUS or ... and ask for Japanese plastic spatula.

Please see here exemplary the link to HORNBACH Germany: http://www.hornbach.de/shop/Japanspachtel-Kunststoff-Set-4-tlg/8538082/artikel.html

You don´t need to buy a set, just look for the size you need and buy this one only.

I think you will have an equivalent as well in the UK.

Thanks for the info but that works out almost same price as new here, as £39.99 bid so far and £25 p&p from Greece.

I am considering getting a Pyramid Hugger for my 08; just took off the rack for the Honda panniers which bolt onto the sub-frame behind the exhaust together with the other support bar.

To anyone using such hugger; does it offer enough clearance to fit both racks?
