French regulation - Priorité ŕ droite
« on: October 11, 2016, 18:31:15 »
there are other road regulations in France that need addressing like 'priorité a droite' what's that all about?

What kind of problem have you with it? If some, we can discuss elsewhere ?...   VCIF_salut

It's far too complicated and inconsistent. http://www.vendee-guide.co.uk/priority-a-droite.htm
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than to seek permission.

Whats the complicated part? I understand... its similar to what we do in The Netherlands. Must say, I recently encountered a Kiwi getting so confused that he turned from green to pale...  ;D

Do not understand what can be complicated ...  ???

"THERE IS NO Priorite a Droite on Autoroutes." :Do you imagine one minute to stop on the autoroute to let somebody enter ?  ;D

Just think about " Priorite a Droite " is only in town unless you have an otherwise ...

Elsewhere only if you have

Simple no ?  VCIF_salut I'm not surprise when I go elsewhere in Europe; seems to be the same .

I can't recall a place where the priority is not made explicit in some way. If I ever found one of such places, I think I'd stop and watch if someone's coming.

On occasion of a trip to the USA, I realized that there were lots of crossings in suburban areas with no priority indication. The rule was: you stop, see who is stopped, and you go when these are gone. That is, motorists arriving to a junction after you will wait until you are gone, no matter where they come from. I didn't like this rule.
