Hello, newbie here from Wiltshire and owner of a Varadero bought new in 2009 so a bit late arriving here (took the long route). I'm not much of a newbie myself in fact I'm experiencing quite a bit of patination! Started riding bikes as a kid and got my full licence back in May 1978. Have ridden all sorts of bikes over the years, mostly British stuff to start with, still got an old Triumph I bought in 1979 rusting away in the shed, then moved on to a mixture of Jap and German. I was changing my main bike every few years but after 2 Blackbirds discovered the amazing comfort and versatility of the Varadero and have failed to find anything that ticks more boxes or appeals greater since. Not a big mileage rider these days and very little last year but retiring in a couple of months so hope to get back out and get bike fit again later this summer.
