Title: 08 Varadero rear shock
Post by: zarly on September 18, 2018, 21:13:06
Hi everyone, I'm new here, and I'm looking for some advice. My rear shock is dead, and I'm looking for a replacement. I found one but it's part number of from a 2010 model, will that work on my 08?? Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

Thank you
Doug

If you have posted on the XRV forum i think i responded on there.
ABS bikes shocks from 07-11 should be interchangeable.
Non ABD bike shocks should be interhangeable.
Do not use an Abs bike shock in a non abs bike or the other way round.

Yes that was me there's as well. I didn't even know there were non-abs models from 2008 until 2011.  :-\

So if I'm looking at the part numbers correctly then the non ABS model is designated C42, and the ABS model is designated C51. So what is this one, designated S51? I'm confused.

<Modus on> think you can do a presentation on the right section here (https://honda-adventure-riders.com/index.php?board=6.0), and share your experiences with others members   VCIF_ThumbUp <modus off>
