I went for a ride this past weekend, although have to admit a short side rode to a remote beach proved to be a little to much for me as I took a little nap in the sand.
The mess is where the bike and I took a sand nap  VCIF_a055

The bike needed a good clean when I got home

The beach when we finally got to it

Headed out for a cold ride yesterday with Antonia on the back. Nice clear day but temps were 6-10C for most of the ride. Ok for me, but Antonia feels the cold even with all the gear on.

Headed to a place called Lake Ferry, right on the southern coast of the North Island.

Recently I did a four day ride up the East Coast of the North Island from where I live (at the bottom of the North Island), around the East Cape and back home. I took my AT and my friend was on his DL650 (with spoke wheels).

Some pics from that ride follow.
It was a wet, cold windy day when we left home

Sporting a new Adventure Rider NZ sticker.

Lots of good food on the trip too

On the first night stayed in cabins and the camp ground, a short walk to the small town of Eketahuna. There is a nice walkway from the campground to town.

We rode for about 5 hours and it rained most of the time on the first day
