Seat swap query
« on: April 28, 2020, 19:08:07 »
Does anyone know if the Varadero seat is interchangeable between different year models?
Parts supplier list two different part numbers but they look the same.Early range is now discontinued.
Ref 020 for 99-06 and 40 for 07 onwards?
Looking at buying a comfort seat but it is based on an earlier seat pan.
Thanks in anticipation.

Do not remember exactly Martyn, but think they've done a different lock system till 2017 model with a new rear buckle ... to be confirmed

Thanks Gilles. I thought it was something to do with the lock fitting position.
Can anybody post a piccie of a pre 2007 seat please.

From 2007 the lock and supports have been changed.
Not sure if there are big differences between the carbie (MK1) and the FI models (MK2) from 2003 till 2006.
