Hi!
Your first bordercrossing
1. Kroscienko (POL) [road 84] to Smilnytsia (UKR) [road T1401]
is fine. Usually it takes to 1-2 hours to pass it.

Second one
2. Solotvyno (UKR) [road N09] to Sighetu Marmatiei (ROM) [road DN18]
is for trains only.  Use Dyakovo-Halmeu (road C1) or Porubne-Siret (road E85) to cross from Ukraine to Romania. both usualy are not very overloaded.
Other drivers and police usally (not always) allow motorcyclists to ride between other waiting cars, to pass boarder faster.

Thx for the help/share  VCIF_ThumbUp ;  do you mean, you overtake and they say yes or no; or you wait they say to you what to do ...

Thank you Waver,

please see what I have found at www. This is oposit to what you are writing for the second bordercrossing.

https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Sighetu-Marma%C5%A3iei/Solotvino-bolnicsa
or
http://www.turismsighet.ro/en/sighetu-marmatiei/

As well the foto (taken with Google-Maps) is showing a bordercrossing for vehicles.

As I have read this bordercrossing was payed by EU somewhen in 2006 and opened years after.

So, at the moment I have two opinions about this bordercrossing  har_scratch har_scratch har_scratch

you overtake and they say yes or no; or you wait they say to you what to do ...
both of it: you overtake at all places, where you can not see any officials (before 1st gate, between gate and customs) ususally no problems with car drivers. Before gate and customs just stop behind (near) to the first car and wait for singals from officers - usualy thay show you, where to place your bike.
Exception: if there only few cars waiting - stay in line as a car, untill officials will say you to overtake (once I was asked to return at 10 cars back in such situation).

We will cross the border Lithuania / Belarus at the Kamenny Log border crossing. The next crossings will be Belarus / Ukraine at the Mokrany / Domanove border crossing, and the Ukraine / Poland crossing at Kroscienko / Smolnica.
Anyone who have been there? How long time do we need to calculate?
Are motorcycles permitted to pass the car queues (as with the Norwegian ferry queues)?
Hello!
First of all be sure that you have BY visa. It is allowed to come without visa only by plane. (just to be sure :)
https://gpk.gov.by/en/border-crossing/30-days-visa-free/
I sow the official letter  that there is allowed in BY to go without queue to the border entrance gate, then inside you should stay with cars. I suppose you have to choose red channel to declare your bike for temporary entrance. Usually when the weather is bad or queue is too long car owners or customs officers (in good mood) allow to be first for procedures.
We crossed  BY/UA Mokrany twice in 2013 - i don't remember any queues or problems there. On the other borders (RU/UA) in 2011 - 2013 ukranian customs officers didn't allow us to drive the line.
And we sure  they both - BY and UA - will respect european guests and help.
Regards, Oleg and Anna

Thanks a lot  ;)
We'll send our passports to the BY embassy in Stockholm to get the visas.
I have been to BY twice by plane, and I was hoping for the "normal" visa to disappear before our trip  :(
See you soon  VCIF_ThumbUp

On our way back from VIM, we plan (among others) to visit all the former Yugoslavian countries, and to stay at least one night in each country.
When i try to make a route from North Macedonia - Serbia - Kosovo - Albania, the route planner doesn't allow me to make a route directly from Vranje (Serbia) where we plan to stay one night, to Pristina (Kosovo).
See the map.

Is there still a conflict going on?  ???
If I try to reverse the route, it works...

Yes,

thereīs still a conflict between Serbia and Kosovo.
To have no problems at the bordercrossings it is helpful to leave first Serbia via an other country and then go to Kosovo.
Serbia claims the Kosovo as serbian territory and Kosovo says its independent
So if you go to Serbia you get a stamp in your passport for your inbound but you canīt get a stamp from Serbia for your outbound if you leave over Kosovo.
Official, in the view of Serbia, you have never left Serbia. This may cause trouble next time coming back to Serbia.

Thanks a lot, Rainer.
I was sure that the Serbians had forgot old days now. :(
The solution must be to enter Kosovo fra Serbia, then go directly to Albania.
Next time I visit those countries I have a new passport  ;)

No,

Erik, if you go from Serbia to Kosovo and the to Albania once you canīt come back to Serbia, because you havenīt left Serbia (Serbia didnīt lock you out).
So you still are at the serbian papers in the country and if you stay longer than 90 (?) days you need a visa.

So go to Serbia then go from Serbia in another country but not to Kosovo and then from the other country to Kosovo.

With this procdure years after you can comeback and you will have no problems to go to Serbia.

But if you have a new passport  ;D.
