The weekend has come and gone. It was fine Sunday and I thought I might go for a ride.  I went into the garage and looked at my VFR1200X and thought, nope.  Where's Red? I want to ride Red. But Red is not here  :'(

I'm missing that little old bike. So much lighter and easier to ride one up than the VFR1200X.  Looks like the CT is relegated to two up riding duties. But I'm not bringing Red back to NZ until after next year's HARM meeting on Gotland.

It is going to be a very looooong wait...  VCIF_a_008

If you change the VFR1200X for a CRF1000F now, you can retrieve now a so lighter an easier bike ...  VCIF_salut  VCIF_ok

ummm true that  ;D . But no. I promised she who must be obeyed that I would wait until next year. In the meantime I read lots of riders views and opinions on the AT.   ;)

Yes I know Red is doing fine, but just without me  :'( ...  Have you managed to take Red on a decent ride since the upgrade?

Care of Red's manager  ;D , here are some pics of Red with the new suspension. Just some side panniers to fit now. Red's manager picks these up next week, a set of Heavy Duty 39L side panniers.

Now for one last change, Red's manager took Red into his local shop to have these fitted, a pair of Heavy Duty panniers. Red's modernisation programme is complete. Bike is currently being road tested by Red's Managers friend, receiving rave reviews  ;D ;D ;D

Sadly it will just be Red and me. Mrs Kiwi is not able to make it. Hopefully in 2018. We tried hard to get her along but June is a busy month work wise for her.

I bought my airfares late last week so I am confirmed. Arrive 26 May, depart end of June. That gives me plenty of time to ride...
