Hello from Ontario Canada
« on: May 18, 2020, 07:50:26 »
I'm new in the adventure bike wave and just happy to find this link. I recently purchased a 2009 Honda Varadero Xl1000V with 61K colored Barley Yellow Mettalic. I have not logged much kms yet and still getting acquainted with the bike. I've owned mostly cruisers and street bike. My other ride is a Harley Road King. The difference in handling between the two is enormous. I'm beginning to like the dero more as the days go by. Cheers.

You've made the right decision! Congratulations!

It's a privilege and pleasure to have different bikes in stock. I also have cruisers (Honda Valkyrie, Moto Guzzi California) and street bikes (Honda CBX 750 and CB 750) and I love to have a choice.

You should connect with Walter who lives in Alberta. I'll send him a note to answer your post.
I live in Bavaria, Germany, but I have family in Vancouver. It's not possibe to meet you in Canafa these days, but I hope pretty soon we'll have a change and a chance. Let's see if we could share a ride ...

Hello and welcome ! You're the right place, the Varadero 's family is a a reliable information 's library. Made a lot of kils around Europe with my 3 varas. Much more pleasure now with the CRF's . And if one time you decide to meet us, have a look on our VIM section (our annual meeting) .

Hello and welcome in the Vatadero family my friend and congratulation! :welcome:

A dream comes true that was my feeling when I purchased my black 2008 Varadero with 10.000 kms at the odometer and one owner here in a nighbor town good two years ago and just 15 minutes a way.

I live in northern Alberta close to Grande Prairie and we planned a trip to San Franzisco this summer but the virus may changed everthing.
Now we are thinking of traveling to Dawson City in the Yukon if everythink works well in July.

If you want to know anything about the honda or me feel free and ask. VCIF_a140mail

Greetings from Northern Alberta, close to the Alaska highway and startpoint zero in Dawson Creek

Has anyone experience the oil indicator window shows no oil when left on kickstand is down even after a 20 minute ride? it was full after idling for 4 minutes then put bike upright. thanks.

Not sure I understand well (my poor English ) , but after riding, you've to wait a few minutes to let the oil come down before you see it in window .

Welcome, fellow Canadian!
It's a fantastic bike for going on long tours - great range, good wind protection, and comfy.
If you lift the bike upright to vertical you should see oil in the sight window. If you don't then you know you're low.
It should fall between the upper and lower lines on the sight window.
