But the announced price in France (see posting Gilles) looks like I have to buy the bike over there. Those are the prices of a 'normal' CRF1000L in The Netherlands (starts at just below 16.000,-... )
For information "normal" price in France is 13399 and DCT 14399 (+300 for tricolor or rallye)

We had exactly the same prices till 2017, Gilles. Suddenly 'someone' @ Honda Benelux decided to increase the prices with more than 2.000,-! >:(
-
Oh, you guys... ::)
In Denmark there΄s been two minor tax reductions on new bikes and cars within the last couple of years, so now the standard CRF1000 only costs 24800 , and the DCT version just 28200 ... :o
No 2018 prices yet.
-
They are now priced at $16,000+ in many western Canadian dealers.
I got my 2016 for $14,999 last December. These prices are much lower than those in Europe. I wonder why there's such a difference? Taxes?
-
For most of us
14,999 CAD = 10 0996EUR
16 000 CAD = 10 773,40
not expensive at all , and compared with danish prices :o
-
In Norway NOK 188000.- ( 20100.-)
For the DCT NOK 199000.- ( 21300.-)
-
UK Honda dealers current price
Standard £10,710. DCT £11,679
My tricolour DCT was bought during their promotion period so it was £11,679. Free Luggage, free datatag, free Honda roadside assist and European recovery for two years. Free delivery, free 12 month road tax and zero per cent PCP.
They gave me a cracking trade in and the only Honda extra I bought was a centre stand.
Currently costing me £33 per month for three years. Less than an I phone!!!

hello, i'm a AT owner in china, i've purchased my AT(manual version) two weeks ago, and the price of this bike in my country is insane :'( , my manual version is around $28000, and DCT $31000....
-
All these prices can΄t be compared.
You have to include the purchasing power of the respective country.
In China (Shanghai) you earn a lot of more money than anywhere else, but on the other hand, the life is much more expensive there.
The question is: What do you earn after taxes and how expensiv is your life (housing, food, electricity, water, ...).
If you compare all these factors you will get a real comparison.

They can be compared, because thats not the goal of this topic. I find it very interesting how the same product is priced around the Globe and this topic gives a good impression.
And... interesting for expats as well. ;D
-
I'm 100% with Rainer on this.
Comparing prices in different countries without thinking about cost of living and earnings doesn't tell you anything.
Even within europe there are huge differences between these values. Net national income per head in Luxembourg is almost twice that in Spain.

In china, riding motorcycle is a expensive hooby, most of riders choose a poorly built chinese bike around $4000~5000, a entry level budget bike such as CB500f, may cost someone a whole year's wage. yeah, indeed in some metro city like Shanghai people earns more, but their spending also up to a higher level.
