Removing upper cover - Efi Vara 1000
« on: March 03, 2016, 21:35:57 »
Apologies in advance for a numpty question.
I want to hide my Zumo power cable in the fairing and have it exit closer to the satnav which is mounted above the instruments. There are two bolts and something called a quick screw (meant something else in my younger days.)
Is it just a matter of removing the bolts and the screw and lifting it off. Or is there some velcro/tabs voodoo to get round?
And how do I undo the quick screw?
I have all the mechanical ability of a wardrobe and don't want to start something that I can't finish.
Thanks folks.

If the "quick screws" have plain heads just carefully pull the centre part until it pops up and then remove the complete fastener.

If they have X heads screw them out 1-2 turns and then pull out the complete fastener.

Thanks. Is the cover then a lift-off?

No I think there are also 2 visible "socket bolts" on either side.
