Lol, I guess I do have aftermarket LED turn signals.

Maybe I can get a couple of these to mount in those holes.. ;D

This is the place where the standard indicators are attached.

So, what are these tabs on the bottom side of the top case rack for?  They have wear on them, so they seem to have been used, and their shape implies that they have a specific purpose...

- check if all brake pads have "play" i.e. can return freely

I think Bogdan means check the caliber is not stuck...

Quote from: JosepM on March 19, 2025, 21:10:12I am 177 cm tall (5'10"?).
My stock FI Varadero was ok for me. I could see above the screen but the air was sent to my helmet.

I would go for something taller, like my present AfricaTwin. More sensitive to wind, but you can ride with your helmet visor open. Also, when relaxed, you see the road through the bike screen, so you'd better keep it clean (unlike me)

I am 5´11´and I was using MRA with extension. It makes it good when raining, all water goes over you... and I have taller one for AT too...

Welcome Barry. Check MRA Germany, they had an varioscreen for the SD01 Varadero. Make sure the original feulpump is replaced by either a Facet or a QH one.

Welcome!

The VIM participation is already closed but you can ask Snurreplus if the hotel still has places available,

The list of things to check from Bogdan is spot on.

My money would be on the first Item on his list and that the front left caliper is seized on the hinge pin that allows it to rock and activate the secondary system cylinder.

Items 20-24 in the attached image.

I would start in this order:
- the lever on the front left wheel that activates the rear brake pump when braking must move freely - when stationary you can easily press it with your hand (3-4 kg)
- check if the fluid was replaced no later than four years ago
- check if all brake pads have "play" i.e. can return freely
- check if the brake pistons are not seized
P.S.
The "dual" mechanism can actually be dismantled - it's just about braking comfort.
