Yes,

as you know, I have an acco at Lütjenburg (Hotel Lütje Burg), coming from Amsterdam along the Dutch and German Northern Sea Coast, and I take the ferry on Friday at 10:15 hrs.

As a property owner in EU I get various advice notes from UK government web sites. Apart from the possibility of needing an IDP they are also advising that British vehicles may require a vehicle ID badge (GB sticker) and the old EU badge on the number plate won't be adequate. 👍

I don't think you need a GB sticker.
Norway isn't EU-member, but we have a small N on the licence plate. Instead of the EU-circle, we have the Norwegian flag.
This is good enough all over the world.
On Facebook, a Norwegian couple share their ride from Vancouver to Buenos Aires - without N sticker.

I have put on a N sticker, but that's only for showing other people "here I am*  :) :)
See you deep in a German forest ;)

We've (Some Americans will toggle along from Casa TwoPlugia, lol) secured our route, booked a nice seaside hotel near the Puttgarden ferry (hop on- hop off, no reason to book this ferry) and will arrive at the VIM21 territory somewhere in the afternoon. 2 More months to go!  ;D

We had in mind to visit Netherlands (and Amsterdam) on our way to VIM... We leave Haute Savoie on Sunday, so we have 4 days (if there is a Pre-VIM) to do 1850 kms... Not too much time to visit if we do not ride highways  :(  have seen only train on Saturday to Hambourg ...
Do you know other trains ?
Is there a Pre-Vim?
Have to work hard to prepare my trips ...  8)  ;D

Sorry, don't know anything about trains, maybe someone else does?

But, about Pre-VIM:

Don't know yet if we can make a preVIM like the tradition of the last 20 years...
I don´t se any reason why we couldn´t  ;).  In fact I have some ideas... something with food and beer  ;D

We'll be 13 participants on Thursday, I'll get back to this in a while, have to do some investigation first.
This hasn't had the highest priority yet, as there's been other and more important things to do.
Think I'll just write PM's to you 12 with my suggestions.
Plan your ride, ride your plan.

Sorry, don't know anything about trains, maybe someone else does?

There is a train from Lörrach Thursday evening arriving in Hamburg Friday morning.
But - that means no Pre-VIM.
