Greetings from the Balkans
« on: August 21, 2017, 12:56:39 »
Hello from Belgrade, Serbia :)

I'm a 40y/o software developer, married (she rides a '91 Transalp at the moment), and we love travelling.
Having been a Yamaha (1996 Tenere 660) rider for 10 years, I figured it was time to beef it up a bit :D Bought the Vara (2001 model, carb SD02) and hit the road 2-up within a month.
The bike is amazing - much better than the Tenere for long journeys, altho I did have a few scary moments on the tiny mountain roads that I would not have had on the smaller bike, but hey... :)
Pics are from when we arrived to Crete, Greece and when we finished back in Belgrade.
Anyway, see you around, I hope!

Thank you all for the kind welcome!
Andorra sounds awesome, I've made a quick route overview and it would stretch the budget quite a bit, but I wouldn't say it's impossible.  I'll have to look into lodging along the way, see where it would be best to stay etc...

Oh, and I've removed the attachments and inlined the images ;)
