Oh, okay I see  :)

But here in Ireland we use whatever suits, ;D  ;D

I'll remember in future. Thanks.

So, should I change the tentioners or will I leave them be.

"...So, should I change the tentioners or will I leave them be...."

If it's making horrible rattling noises then yes, best to check them out.
Otherwise, next time you're working on the bike have a look at them ...they come apart easily using a spanner, wrench or whatever suits ;) ;)
Once again, getting good access is hardest part ...although the rear CCT isn't too bad

What answer you wanna have ?

If we will propose a change you will say it´s expensive, why should I do so.
If we say no you should not and afterwards the chain tensioner will break, I won´t here what you will have to say.

But in the end, if you change both, there is nothing wrong done.

The answer I'm looking for is the one that suits ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seriously, I was going to change them, but thought I'd ask here first.
You see, I have been told that they were a weak point on the vara.  After some research I found a few cases of failure on the earlier models but nothing on the FI model.  Ergo, the problem was fixed from 2003 on ?

The bike is running smooth, with no weird noises or rattles.
That's why I asked the experts. ;)

Then, to me, it makes no sense to repair on something that´s working properly. Why replace anything, if nothing´s broken? As I´ve understood this problem with the tensioner, then it doesn´t just break down here and now, but starts to rattle over a period, so there should be time enough to change it if that happens.

I have no experience about this problem myself, only read about it here and in other forums, so I don´t now which models that´s having the problem. Mine is a 2008 Varadero which has done 100000 km, without any problems.
