Taller screen's
« on: April 24, 2017, 00:18:15 »
I'm currently looking for a taller screen for my Varadero I was thinking of the givi one but then I came across this on eBay http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/HIGHEST-TOURING-WIND-SCREEN-WINDSHIELD-69-CM-HONDA-XL-1000-V-VARADERO-03-13-/192100533751?hash=item2cba1585f7%3Ag%3AFQEAAOSw4A5YnGio&_trkparms=pageci%253Afca1ea78-2825-11e7-8021-74dbd1803442%257Cparentrq%253A9aedcd1a15b0a9cba44fd5e4ffff5e53%257Ciid%253A11
Has anyone on here has one of these and if so what are your opinions on them ?
It's 69cm and the givi is 60cm so I was thinking it may suit my 6ft6" (201cm) height a little better

Agree with Gilles, MRA is one of the best. 'Highest' screen as mentioned in the link, Truck, doesn't say its the best. Most likely it will cause a lot of turbulence around your head...

Many varadero owners are also fond of the adjustable screens from brands like f.e. Palmer. Further info's can be read here:

That screen looks very tall and depending on your size you may end up looking through it while riding which I personally don't like, I like to see the road. I have the MRA Vario screen on mine and it's great, like the others have said. Enough protection at any speeds but not too tall.

Well guys I ordered the screen and fitted it yesterday, wow it is tall when the bike is on it's centre stand the top of the screen is at my shoulder height, it does a great job of keeping the wind down, no more buffeting around and at 60-70 mph I can ride with my helmet up no problems, but I am looking straight through the screen to early to say if I like this or not, it is currently set at a half way height, I will post up again on this once I have some more miles on it  VCIF_ThumbUp
